The Black Creek Watershed features swamps, marshes and pools that foster countless species of fish, amphibians, birds and complementary plant life. Its features, which stymied most commercial and residential development, preserved Black Creek as a paradise for canoeists, kayakers and fishermen.
We'll put in off of Rt. 299 and paddle south to the Black Creek Wetlands staircase, go further if we can, and then turn around to return to our put in site. You can end the day at this point, or you can continue with the group to paddle north towards Chodikee Lake. Both directions offer beautiful scenery and we often spot wildlife.
