Our approach to AI begins with humanity: our history, cultures, societies and relationship with the natural world. Before asking what AI can do, we ask where we come from, what we have sought to achieve, and what kind of future we want to create.
From this foundation, we investigate AI as a transformative force: how it can support our aspirations, help us overcome long-standing limitations, and open possibilities we could not previously realise.
Our shared human heritage, diverse perspectives and collective imagination should guide technology’s development. We should shape AI around the lives we want to lead, rather than allow technology to slowly erode our humanity and our relationships with one another.
