The talk:
All are welcome to this online talk explaining human heartedness and its relevance to today’s world. Human Heartedness offers a secular and evidence based path, based on cultivating our social potential and building positive relationships with others, for building a fulfilling life and escaping the social isolation and existential emptiness of modernity. The talk will go for approximately half an hour followed by another half hour of QandA.

The talk is being presented by Human Hearted Sydney, as part of our goal of inviting people to consider a more human hearted lifestyle. If you’ve never attended one of our events before we hope you find the talk interesting. If you become interested in human heartedness you are welcome to attend one of our other events discoverable through our meetup group. For people who already attend our other events this talk will offer more information and detail about human heartedness.

The speaker:
Lyndon Storey is one of the founders of Human Hearted Sydney. He has been active in the humanist movement for many years, producing numerous articles and talks about Humanism and human heartedness. He has helped establish a humanist community in Canberra, been an honorary Humanist Chaplain at Canberra Hospital, his contributions were recognised when he received an Outstanding Humanist Achiever award from Humanists Australia. More broadly he also has a PhD from Sydney University with a thesis on the Chinese philosopher Mencius and international relations theory. He is a straightforward and engaging speaker.
