About us
Human Rituals brings the transformative power of ritual back into modern life. Twice monthly at the new and full moon, we gather in the Tri-Cities to create space where people can connect with themselves and the sacred on their own terms. Drawing on Jungian psychology and mythopoetic work, our facilitated ceremonies guide participants through grounding, reflection, and release—helping you sacrifice what no longer serves so something new can emerge. No dogma. No prescribed path. Just consistent practice, authentic community, and the empowerment that comes from doing your own inner work in good company.

Full Moon in Scorpio: Release Ritual
Full Moon in Scorpio: Release Ritual A Human Rituals Gathering
A 90-Minute Outdoor Full Moon Ritual
The Invitation:
What are you carrying that isn't yours? What truth have you been avoiding? What dies tonight so something real can live?
Scorpio doesn't do gentle, but it does do honest. This Full Moon illuminates what's been hidden and asks you to let go of what's already gone. We'll work with that through divination, release, sound, and guided meditation.
Returning from the New Moon gathering? Welcome back. The cycle continues. First time? Welcome. The altar will be set. The bowl will ring at 7:00 PM.
When: Friday, 5/1/26 • 7:00–8:30 PM (Please arrive by 6:50 PM. Ritual begins promptly at 7:00 PM.)
Where: Howard Amon Park, near the stage (see "How to find us" below)
Cost: Donation-based • Suggested $5–$20 (no one turned away)
This is for you if...
- You want meaning outside traditional structures
- You want community without dogma
- You want a container for transformation that doesn't require belief in any religion or practice
What to Expect (~90 minutes)
- Arrival + threshold opening (sound cleansing with singing bowls/tuning forks)
- Grounding meditation
- Self-paced inquiry: tarot, runes, or journaling (your choice)
- Guided journey into a Scorpio "descent landscape"
- Full Moon release: write what you're letting go and tear, bury, or seal away
- Closing + integration
- Optional: linger for questions/discussion afterward (or head out, no pressure)
The vibe: Psychologically grounded, spiritually open, emotionally real. Expect silence, introspection, autonomy, and a self-directed pace. You're welcome to participate fully or observe quietly. The Scorpio Full Moon surfaces what's buried; this one asks for radical honesty with yourself. Come willing to look at what you've been avoiding.
What to bring
Required: Just yourself
Optional:
- Journal + pen
- Your own tarot/oracle deck (community deck provided)
- Layers (evening temps TBD; check forecast closer to date)
- Water bottle
- Blanket or portable chair
Provided: Ritual structure, community tarot deck + runes, interpretation books, handouts (spreads, prompts). Electric candles at the altar.
How to Find Us
Meetup point: Howard Amon Park, near the stage. Look for: A folding table with a black cloth, candles, singing bowls, and a red-bearded facilitator in a kilt with beaded jewelry. We'll be easy to spot.

Weather note:
We gather weather-permitting. Any cancellation will be posted by 3:00 PM on the day of the event—check the event page.
Consent, boundaries, and safety
- Autonomy first: participate as much or as little as you want. You can leave anytime.
- No forced sharing: you won't be asked to disclose personal details.
- Scent alert: incense may be used—please position yourself accordingly if sensitive.
- Photos: I may photograph the altar setup for social media. I will not photograph participants without consent.
- Support note: This can be deep emotional work. If you're in an active crisis, please have professional support in place. I'm a ritualist, not a therapist.
Who's facilitating?
I'm Derrick. I create containers for transformation using guided visualization, divination, sound work, and shadow inquiry. My approach: psychologically grounded and mythopoetically rich—think reflective journaling + guided meditation + symbolic tools. No dogma required. All welcome: pagan, atheist, Christian, skeptic, seeker—all paradigms respected. LGBTQIA+ affirming. Neurodivergent-friendly.
