Science Fiction Book Club: "The Fifth Season" @ Secular Saturday

Welcome to our monthly HumanistsMN Science Fiction Book Club! Participate every month -- or as you are able. This month's pick is “The Fifth Season” by N.K. Jemisin. It’s a Hugo award winning novel about a planet where the continent shifts causing all sorts of issues. The novel explores matriarchal societies as well as the changes caused by the environment.

The book discussion will be from 3:00—4:30. Afterwards, join other Secular Saturday session attendees in the gallery for refreshments and socializing.

Scott Lohman is a long-time activist with HumanistsMN, serving as president, vice-president, and board member at various times. He is a life- long science fiction reader and chairs a small local sci-fi con held annually in the summer.
