HMN member Sally Johnson, who writes under her maiden name Sally Vardaman, models honest self-reflection as a person and parent in her new book, Shoot the Arrows, a collection of essays to her now-grown children. Join Sally for this session as she reads from her book, shares her journey to writing and publishing, and discusses how humanism informed her path to well-being from emotional struggle and substance abuse.

Sally's presentation will be from 3:00—4:30. Afterwards, we'll join other Secular Saturday attendees in the gallery for refreshments and socializing.

Sally will have copies of Shoot the Arrows for sale and sign them for those interested. $20 including sales tax -- cash, check, Venmo and credit card accepted. 25% of sales during this event will go to support Camp Quest North, a humanist-oriented summer camp for kids which HMN has long supported.

See http://www.sallyvardaman.com for more information.
