HumanistsMN is partnering with Open Arms, a local non-profit that provides healthy meals to critically ill Minnesotans and their families. Much of the work in their kitchens is done by volunteers, like us - that's what this activity is! This activity is AGE 16+ Friendly :-) KEEP READING:

Register for this event BY 10PM Sun March 24: If you have volunteered with Open Arms before you can skip step 1 - and if you have done a Kitchen shift, you can skip step 1 & 2)
1. Create an account on https://www.openarmsmn.org/volunteer/volunteer-individuals . (if you have volunteered at Open Arms before that you have this).
2. Next, follow Option B Orientation path, which includes creating a Volunteer profile. And also includes watching a couple short videos and taking a short quiz. Here are the direct links to those: Open Arms Introduction and Kitchen Safety Protocols videos. Review the Dress Code.
--You should get an email from Open Arms after you pass your quiz. (of course you’ll pass!)
3. SIGN UP FOR THIS EVENT -Sign up for the day’s shift. Follow this link which is specific to this event: http://vhub.at/HMN24 . (you are probably signed in – but do so if you aren’t). When prompted, enter the following “JOIN CODE” of HMN24. You should be able to see our event “STP HumanistMN Group Kitchen Shift – then sign up
4. You will be prompted to acknowledge the Safety & Liability Waiver: Scroll to the bottom and check the box to acknowledge you read and understand the waiver. Click Finish. Yay – you are signed up and I will see that the count of volunteers who have signed up has increased!
5. Verify your registration by logging out of open arms account then log back in and click on My Events- and- you should get a confirmation email. If you don't, you are not actually registered- please contact Christine or post a comment!

CLOTHING: Closed toed shoes, leg-covering pants or skirt, shirt with at least short sleeves and no jewelry other than a wedding band.
