HumanistsMN is partnering with Open Arms of Minnesota, a local non-profit that provides healthy meals to critically ill Minnesotans and their families. We will likely be putting prepared food into containers, or prepping ingredients. This activity is AGE 16+ Friendly. KEEP READING.
IF YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE KEEP YOUR COMMITMENT and ARRIVE PROMPTLY.
Please follow the steps below by 10 PM on Tuesday July 15th.
- Create an account: https://www.openarmsmn.org/volunteer/volunteer-individuals. Note: If you have volunteered at Open Arms before, then you already have this. Then, follow Option B Virtual (Kitchen) Orientation path, which includes creating a volunteer profile and also includes watching a couple short videos and taking a short quiz. Here are the direct links to those: Open Arms Introduction and Kitchen Safety Protocols videos. Review the Dress Code. You should get an email from Open Arms after you pass the Quiz.
- Now – sign up for this shift. I think there are two ways to do it:
a. Follow this link which is specific to this event: https://vhub.at/HMNoa25. You will need to sign in to your account if you are not already signed in. When prompted, enter the following “JOIN CODE”. You should be able to see our event “STP HumanistMN Group Kitchen Shift” at 9am – then sign up
b. OR – click on the dropdown at your name in the upper right of the screen, then select Add Join Code. The code is HMNoa25. You should be able to see our event “STP HumanistMN Group Kitchen Shift" – then sign up. - You will be prompted to acknowledge the Safety & Liability Waiver. Scroll to the bottom and check the box to acknowledge you read and understand the waiver. Click Finish.
CLOTHING: Closed toed shoes, leg-covering pants or skirt, shirt with at least short sleeves and no jewelry other than a wedding band. Dress Code.
