HABITS OF HUMANISM -- Mindful Living: Maintaining Hope in Difficult Times

Details

Hope is a universal and powerful human need. Without hope, people do not thrive. But in our current social and political climate, it is hard to be hopeful. As we face difficult times – whether personally or culturally -- how can we tap into this deeply felt human emotion to generate creative thinking, courage, and the motivation to keep on keeping on?

We will begin with a guided meditation, followed by discussion. Attendees are invited to share their own life experiences and lessons with the group.

All are welcome in the spirit of compassion as we seek to support one another toward greater well-being.

Each month we explore a different aspect of mindfulness and its associated practice from a secular humanist and naturalist perspective -- drawing on the experience and wisdom of participants. This month’s session is facilitated by Audrey Kingstrom, Humanist Celebrant and HumanistsMN Program Coordinator.

This event is sponsored by HumanistsMN. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted! Join or donate at humanistsmn.org
