Humanists in Action: A Walk Supporting Mental Health Care

Details

Did you know: 1 in 3 people report symptoms of anxiety and depression? Help raise awareness and funds to support people in need of mental health care by becoming a NAMIWalks Hero for the 2025 NAMIWalks 5K Walk event!

Please JOIN OUR TEAM -- "Humanist Hearts for Healthy Minds" ( a collaboration of HumanistsMN and First Unitarian Society humanists) and walk with us. OR support our team by MAKING A DONATION to our team or a team member listed. Link: https://www.namiwalks.org/team/HumanistHeartsforHealthyMinds

Please arrive by 12:15pm. Come to our meeting spot to find us, then check in. The Walk begins at 1pm.

PARKING: Allow extra time for parking. There are pay lots and some other parking in park. But they will likely be full, so look on Minnehaha Ave just north of park. Also, try Metro transit - there is a transit hub nearby at 46th St and Hwy 55/Hiawatha.

There is no cost to register and no minimum amount of funds to raise.

We are walking to raise awareness of mental illness and raise funds for the important work of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. As humanists, many of us consider it intolerable that people suffer with mental illness in silence out of lack of access to care or shame - raising funds and awareness via NAMI will help bring care to those who need it.

All funds raised directly support the mission of NAMI to provide support, education, and advocacy to individuals and families right here in our community.

Join us as we improve the lives of those affected by mental illness in our communities! It is a family-friendly, dog-friendly, tobacco-free event.
