HumanistMN is getting a group together to help out in the parks. Follow the link above for more information! All are welcome!
We'll be joining Great River Greening and Dakota County Parks as we come together to celebrate National Public Lands Day at Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Together, we will plant native prairie wildflowers furthering restoration efforts throughout this beautiful park.
This is a family-friendly event. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to attend. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary; tools and training will be provided.
Volunteers will get breakfast and snacks thanks to Dakota County! Breakfast will be served from 8am-9am. There will be light snacks and extra water available, however, please bring your own reusable water bottle and any additional snacks or lunch items you may need.
Join us after your volunteer work time for outdoor activities, educational tables, and meet the goats who help control invasive species in the park.
Once you have registered via GivePulse, organizers from Great River Greening will approve your registration and you will receive confirmation. You will continue to receive event reminders as the event nears.
If you have further questions, please contact Jessica at jdrummond@greatrivergreening.org. If the event has reached capacity, please add your name to the waitlist and you will be automatically registered if space becomes available.
National Public Lands Day has been celebrated by the National Forest Service for 25 years and Great River Greening is proud to partner with Dakota County in promoting stewardship at Lebanon Hills Regional Park. It is a day where huge impacts are made by volunteers all across the country to improve and enjoy forests and grasslands. These volunteer contributions are incredibly valuable to public lands.
HumanistsMN is a non-profit run by volunteers and member donations. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted. Donate or join here.
