Humanism in Action: Learn to Caucus to Create a More Humanist World
Details
When candidates for any elected office – from school board to federal senator -- get “endorsed” by political parties, a whole lot of freebie advantages fall into their laps. And in Minnesota, everyday people are who decide these endorsements! Join other Humanists in Action at this training, and learn how to become part of the crew of everyday Minnesotans who decide which candidates running for office receive party endorsement. To bring us closer to a world where everyone thrives, it matters who is elected and what laws they make. Help those laws be ones that reflect your values!
This event will be led by Lindsay Turner of TakeAction Minnesota, as part of a grassroots campaign with MN United Parents to build a world where kids and their parents can thrive.
If you need child care in order to attend this training, please let us know the names and ages of kids requiring care and we might be able to meet that need. Please send an email by December 27 to socialaction@humanistsmn.org if that is needed.
This training session will be from 3:00-4:30pm. Afterwards gather with other session attendees in the gallery for refreshments and socializing.
This event is sponsored by HumanistsMN. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted! Join or donate at humanistsmn.org
