Be a part of this national day of service initiated by the American Humanist Association in response to the crisis of cruelty plaguing our country and communities. HumanistsMN is hosting a variety of opportunities on May 2 to champion empathy and compassion in our society.

You can join in by helping to tie flannel blankets for the Linus Project which distributes them locally to babies and children in need. Material and instructions will be provided. It involves hand-stitching yarn ties in blankets to hold the front and back together - a task even beginners can do! Bring scissors if you can (there will be several pair brought by facilitator, also)

Afterwards we'll celebrate our efforts with all the days' volunteers over nibbles and beverages in the gallery. Let's come together for a good cause!

PLEASE NOTE: There is an attendee limit due to space and quantity on this project. Please keep your RSVP accurate and up-to-date so we have the right number of people to complete this project.

While HumanistsMN grants are covering the cost of the blankets, any monetary donations to help finance this project would be gladly accepted.

HumanistsMN is committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and caring community for all our members. We welcome everyone who shares our humanist principles. We acknowledge the dignity and worth of all people -- every race, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, social class, abilities, or disabilities. We actively promote a culture of respect, belonging, and compassion as we strive to create an environment where everyone can thrive. By participating in HumanistsMN events, you agree to conduct yourself in accordance with these values.

This event is sponsored by HumanistsMN. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted! Join or donate at humanistsmn.org
