Humanists in Action: Assemble Hygiene Kits @ American Empathy Project!
Details
Be a part of this national day of service initiated by the American Humanist Association in response to the crisis of cruelty plaguing our country and communities. HumanistsMN is hosting a variety of opportunities on May 2 to champion empathy and compassion in our society.
You can join in by helping some folks with basic needs: we'll assemble 150 kits of hygiene products and 300 kits of menstrual products. The kits will be donated to two local community college food shelves and The Bridge for Youth.
Afterwards we'll celebrate our efforts with all the days' volunteers over nibbles and beverages in the gallery. Let's come together for a good cause!
PLEASE NOTE: There is an attendee limit due to space and quantity on this project. Please keep your RSVP accurate and up-to-date so we have the right number of people to complete this project.
While HumanistsMN grants are covering the cost of the products for the kits, any monetary donations to help finance this project would be gladly accepted.
HumanistsMN is committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and caring community for all our members. We welcome everyone who shares our humanist principles.
