Be a part of this national day of service initiated by the American Humanist Association in response to the crisis of cruelty plaguing our country and communities. HumanistsMN is hosting a variety of opportunities on May 2 to champion empathy and compassion in our society.

You can show appreciation and care for the environment by joining us for some spring clean-up at nearby Loring Park and the surrounding community. We'll meet at the Mt. Curve entrance of the First Unitarian Society at 3:00pm then head to Loring Park, picking up trash along with way. Once there, we will divide into teams to cover the park.

Buckets and gardening gloves will be provided, however due to limited supply we encourage you to bring your own! Feel free to wear your Humanist T-shirt or a hi-vis vest if you have one. Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather that day.

At 4:30, back at First Unitarian Society, we'll celebrate our efforts with all the day’s volunteers over nibbles and beverages in the gallery. Let's come together for a good cause!

HumanistsMN is committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and caring community for all our members. We welcome everyone who shares our humanist principles. We acknowledge the dignity and worth of all people -- every race, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, social class, abilities, or disabilities. We actively promote a culture of respect, belonging, and compassion as we strive to create an environment where everyone can thrive. By participating in HumanistsMN events, you agree to conduct yourself in accordance with these values.

This event is sponsored by HumanistsMN. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted! Join or donate at humanistsmn.org.
