Resilience Series: The Works of Viktor Frankl @ Humanists Gather
Details
The joint Mental Health Awareness Team (MHAT) of HumanistsMN and First Unitarian Society (FUS) is developing a series of programs to help our members explore how we build and maintain resilience in difficult times. What better way to start this exploration than to read and discuss the ideas of psychiatrist and concentration camp survivor, Viktor Frankl. Read Man’s Search for Meaning, Yes to Life, Embracing Hope, or any of Frankl’s other works. Then join us for this discussion of Frankl’s ideas and how we can apply them in the here and now.
As a prelude to our discussion, we invite you to view this 28 minute video of three short talks given at an FUS Sunday Assembly on July 19 -- hosted by MHAT -- that referenced Viktor Frankl’s ideas.
Discussion will be led by Sandy Martin and Karen Rowehl. Both serve on the Mental Health Awareness Team and are members of HumanistsMN and FUS.
The discussion will be from 3:00—4:30 followed by socializing and refreshments with other Saturday session attendees in the gallery.
