As humanists, we believe that humans have agency and are responsible for our lives and the larger world. We may differ on how much, but we strive to live responsibly and claim our agency as much as possible. But the flip side of that coin is accountability. At this session we will explore and discuss this aspect of living a good life -- mindfully. What does accountability look like in the various personal, social, and civic aspects of our lives? How well do we take account of our actions -- or lack thereof? Do we blame, excuse, dismiss, and/or ignore -- or do we embrace vulnerability, humility, honest communication, problem-solving, and more?

Join us for our monthly Mindful Living session as we explore what it means to live accountably to ourselves and others. As always, we will begin with a short, guided meditation followed by discussion -- drawing on the experience and wisdom of participants. This month’s session is facilitated by HumanistsMN program coordinator and humanist celebrant, Audrey Kingstrom.

HumanistsMN is committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and caring community for all our members. We welcome everyone who shares our humanist principles.
