Sci Fi Book Club: “Towing Jehovah" @ Humanists Gather
Details
Welcome to our monthly HumanistsMN Science Fiction Book Club. Join us the first Saturday every month -- or come as you are able.
Our November read is “Towing Jehovah” by James Morrow. The two-mile long body of God is found dead floating in the Atlantic. A variety of characters find different ways to deal with it, while an oil tanker is commissioned to tow the body to the Arctic to preserve it.
The book discussion will be from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Followed by a social time with other Saturday session attendees.
Our book club facilitator is Scott Lohman, a long-time member of HumanistsMN, serving as president, vice-president, and board member at various times. He is a life-long science fiction reader and chairs a small local sci-fi con held annually in the summer.
HumanistsMN is committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and caring community for all our members. We welcome everyone who shares our humanist principles.
