Self-Expression through Art & Writing
Details
NOTE: Seating is limited and by reservation only using this Google signup form.
Our "Resilience Series" focuses on ideas and self-care practices that help build and maintain our resilience in the face of trying times.
When times are difficult, it's important to find ways to express your feelings. In this workshop, you can explore ways of conveying yourself through different types of art and writing. We’ll have supplies to make collages and other artwork, notepads for writing, and tips for journaling and writing poetry.
We will begin with a short introduction and reserve time at the end for participants to share their work if they choose to. In between, we invite you to dive into whatever appeals to you and put your heart into it!
Please register so we know how many supplies to purchase. Sign up by providing your email, which will be used to send you 1) confirmation and reminder emails before the program and 2) digital handouts and/or other resources after the program.
The Mental Health Awareness Team is a collaboration between First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis and HumanistsMN. We offer programs for members of both communities that raise awareness of mental health issues and provide education on self-care practices for mental well-being.
