Habits of Humanism: Mindful Living and Forgiveness
Details
This month's session will focus on the practice of forgiveness. How can we free ourselves from pain and resentment? Do we have the capacity to give others another chance? How can we forgive ourselves and let go of the past? Join fellow humanists to explore the concept and practice of forgiveness from a secular perspective.
We will begin with a guided meditation, followed by some reflections on how forgiveness and a mindful attitude go hand in hand. Participants are invited to contribute their own understandings of and experiences with forgiveness to the discussion.
All are welcome in the spirit of compassion as we seek to support one another toward greater well-being.
Each month we explore a different aspect of mindfulness and its associated practice from a secular humanist and naturalist perspective -- drawing on the experience and wisdom of participants. Facilitated by Humanist Celebrant, Audrey Kingstrom.
This event is sponsored by HumanistsMN. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted! Join or donate at https://humanistsmn.org/
