Well, this will be our 1-year anniversary since Jenny and I signed on as organizers here, so let's do a throwback to our first hike! This is one of our favorites, and there's a fair amount of shade on the trail to hopefully help stave off some of that late-summer heat.

If you park inside the park, there's a small fee. And there are some merciless stop-sign cameras in there. So I'd recommend trying to find FREE street parking on either Sunset Blvd or Temescal Canyon Rd.

Even with the shade, it could still be hot, so bring plenty of water/sunblock/sun protection. A 9:00am start time should get us back in time for an early lunch, place TBD.
