Hike Mount Lowe

Greetings All the next hike is to Mount Lowe. To get there take the 110 freeway North to where it ends in Pasadena. Continue on past the end of the freeway on Arroyo Parkway to Del Mar Bl and turn left onto Del Mar Bl and goto and get on the 210 Freeway heading west. Goto and get off at Angeles Crest hwy. Take Angeles Crest hwy to Mount Wilson Road at Redbox. the distance is aobut 14 miles. Turn Right on to Mount Wilson Road, (Mount Wilson road is at the Red Box Picnic area) and goto Eaton Saddle, about 2.5 miles. Park in the turnout there. Trail starts at the locked gate. The locked which marks Eaton Saddle is the first locked gate you will see on the right side of the road as you are driving up Mount Wilson road. There are two turnouts one on either side of the road. the hike is about 3.25 miles round trip a there and back type of hike. Elevations gain/loss is about 500 feet. We will be starting at 5100 feet and the summit is at 5600 feet. It could be quiet cool on this hike dress accordingly. Hope to see you there Norman
