The process of deconverting and leaving your religious beliefs behind is challenging, and it can impact many areas of your life. Know that you are not alone. This meet-up is designed to provide a welcoming place for each person to share feelings, thoughts, and stories, or to simply listen to others.

This is not meant to be a counseling or therapy group. We are meeting and talking to others who have gone through similar experiences, which can be comforting. You’ll meet former believers who are now atheists or agnostics, or in the process of deconstructing their beliefs. This group is intended to support those who have let go of their religious and supernatural beliefs rather than individuals seeking new religious or spiritual beliefs or identities.

The topic for May's meeting is: Humor. How has humor changed for you since you have left religion? Where do you find humor now? Or, how do you keep things light-hearted?

We meet 90 minutes once a month at the Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix (Google Meet for now). Humanism is a secular philosophy that encourages critical thinking and ethics.
