Title: Ins and Outs of Arrests
Description of Event:
Black Lives Matter Phoenix Metro and Poder in Action will be hosting a workshop focused on learning the ins and outs of arrests! What will be covered:

• What to expect if you or someone you know is detained and/or arrested.
• How to support a loved one through the legal system, from booking to bail.
• Risks associated with arrest, and how they impact housing, employment, immigration status, and more.

We will also go over community-based strategies for jail support, court watching/packing, and organizing for release. Full address shared after registration.

Black Lives Matter Phoenix Metro is a Black, Queer, and Femme led organization, that centers Black people who are the most impacted and marginalized because we believe ALL BLACK LIVES MATTER. We build solidarities with other colonized folks in the Global South to end imperial rule.
