TITLE: Social Justice and a More Socialized Democracy

FORMAT: We order from the menu and socialize. We begin our program by 7:00 PM.

TOPIC: The kick-off for this discussion will be delivered by Beth K. Lamont, the widow of Corliss Lamont, who was, himself, a staunch advocate of a more Socialized Democracy. He was a Champion of Civil Liberties, and the author of "The Philosophy Of Humanism (http://www.corliss-lamont.org/philos8.htm)". The discussion will address the need for Social Justice in this country, and will look at the positions of advocates like Bernie Sanders and other public figures. Various proponents and supporters are invited to join the discussion. All points of view are welcome. Come meet with other Humanists for what will surely be an interesting conversation, and tell about your own perspective, and share with others your own vision for our Democracy.

ADMISSION: Free, but annual HSMNY chapter membership ($25.00 singles / $35.00 couples) is encouraged.

Note: This HSMNY Chapter Meeting Announcement Notice can be found on the HSMNY Web site at http://bit.ly/1CoIT1x .
