NATIONALISM IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Nationalism seems to re-emerging in recent times with the rise of such politicians such as Donald Trump and Boris Johnson in Great Brittan.

This Sunday we will review a video presentation on this subject by Yuval Harari and discuss the ideas presented in it.

Some things that might be discussed are:

o How did Nationalism come to be started from early tribes?

o Are Nations the right Framwork to meet Human Needs?

o What other forms of Economic and Polical Structures Might be Needed?

o Plus many more

We will watch about 30 minutes of this Video, then open the floor up to discuss the ideas presnted. The discussion will be lead by Carl Angotti, a long time Humanist Member.

The presenter of this video is Prof. Yuval Noah Harari has a PhD in History from the University of Oxford and lectures at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, specializing in world history. His books have been translated into 50+ languages, with 12+ million copies sold.
