Forum: Showing Up For Racial Justice (Jessica Nifield)

Details
Showing Up For Racial Justice (SURJ) is a national network of groups and individuals organizing White people for racial justice. Through community organizing, mobilizing, and education, SURJ moves White people to act as part of a multi-racial majority for justice with passion and accountability.
Jessica Nifield, a SURJ volunteer, will be speaking to the Humanist Community in Silicon Valley about white privilege, and will help us explore ways we can contribute to building a powerful multi-racial majority to challenge racism in all its forms.

Jessica now lives in the Santa Cruz area with her husband and kids.

“It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”~ Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
