This is an invitation from our friends at Kol Shalom, who are sponsoring the event.

TWO YEARS LATER: WE ARE STILL TROY DAVIS
The death penalty case of Troy Davis will undoubtedly prove to be one of the most controversial in this century. Troy was executed in 2011, despite overwhelming evidence pointing to his innocence. Troy worked tirelessly while on death row, not only to prove his innocence, but to abolish the death penalty for those who would come after him and to expose a system that fails to protect the innocent.

Jen Marlowe, co-author of I Am Troy Davis, and Troy's sister, Kimberly Davis, visit Portland to speak about the impact Troy's struggle has had on those still fighting for justice and an end to the death penalty. Dr. Audrey Terrell, president of Portland's NAACP, will introduce our speakers.

Books available for purchase, and opportunity for book signing. ...
