Free Foreign Indie Film/Discussion! Commute Got You Hungry? Delish Meals on Site

Details
New format for Movie and a Meal: It's 5:30 and you've fought the Friday evening rush hour to arrive on time for the movie, but the thought of waiting until after the discussion for a more substantial meal may have you wondering if the light refreshments provided free by the library will hold you over ...
...No need to postpone a satisfying meal when the library has it's own snack bar serving freshly made sandwiches, salads, bagels, an array of delicious beverages and tasty donut treats!
With the library's new, later hours, we'll now stay on site for our post-viewing discussions; so, grab your food and bring it upstairs if you like!
Then, join us for the Foreign and Independent Library Movies (F.I.L.M.) F.I.L.M. Series: See a great foreign or independent film, meet new people, and join in the F.I.L.M. discussion.
Foreign and Independent Library Movies are shown on the second Friday of every month at the Main Library, preceeded by a short film and followed by an informal, optional discussion.
2013 F.I.L.M. Schedule:
Feature films begin at 6 p.m.; short film will be shown at 5:45 p.m. (unless otherwise noted below.) Click highlighted title to read more.

The F.I.L.M. series is open to adults 18 and older. Movies are not previewed and may contain scenes or elements that are appropriate for mature audiences only.
For more information about F.I.L.M., please contact Elizabeth Lopez, Reader Services Librarian, at elizabeth.lopez@hillsboro-oregon.gov
After the Meetup, we will provide a ride to the nearest Max station for members who arrive by TriMet, which has no bus scheduled at library closing time.
This is a joint activity with Beaverton Atheists Meetup.
We hope to see you there -- invite a friend!
