Speaking live at Friendly House, Taylor Cass Talbott will give the history and current work of Ground Score Association, a democratic waste picker organization in Portland, Oregon that fills gaps in the materials management system through decent, low barrier work and collective organizing. Talbott is the co-director and co-founder of Ground Score Association, a democratic organization of waste pickers in Portland, Oregon, and works as the Advocacy Coordinator for the International Alliance of Waste Pickers. Taylor has worked at the nexus of waste reduction, job creation, and social inclusion for more than a decade, as a project manager, organizer, dumpster diver, and artist.
