Monthly Discussion: Imagining Hope for the Future
Details
Let's talk about a subject raised to me in an email by our long-time member John Farmer, who will lead the discussion. John suggests we discuss:
> 1. Have the majority of the population given up hope that the future will be better? - Why, What constitutes better?
> 2. Would using religious methodology as suggested bring back hope and trust? - could the principles of hope and trust be taught in a non-religious way?
> 3. What would it take to teach the capacity to imagine genuinely different futures? The frameworks for sustaining hope when everything looks bleak? The practiced ability to trust in possibilities you can’t prove yet?.
