✨ Who says only religious folks get holidays?

This autumnal equinox, we’re celebrating in our own way β€” with science, community, and a sky full of stars. πŸŒπŸ‚

Join the Humanists of Topeka for Equinox Under the Stars β€” a secular gathering of reflection, wonder, and camaraderie at Washburn University. Our guide for the evening, volunteer Brenda Culbertson, will lead us in looking up into the cosmos and appreciating the balance of day and night.

πŸ“… September 22, 2025
πŸ•– 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
πŸ“ Washburn University, Spitz Planetarium, Stoffer Science Hall, First Floor

Come hang out for an hour β€” bring your curiosity, your sense of awe, and maybe a friend! 🌟

A few friendly reminders:

  • The planetarium is best suited for attendees 3rd grade and older. Babies, very young children, or those uncomfortable with the dark may find the environment challenging.
  • To protect the equipment, no food or drinks are permitted inside.
  • If you’d like a snack before or after, options are available at vending machines, the Memorial Union, or the nearby corner store. 🍫πŸ₯€
  • While the event is free to attend, our presenter Brenda is a volunteer, and she is welcome to receive donations in appreciation of her time and expertise.
