HoT October Colloquium and AHA Chapter Meeting

Details
Join us for our next Humanists of Topeka gathering featuring Brian C. Thomas, Ph.D., Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Washburn University.
Dr. Thomas will present:
“Small and Short-Lived: How Humanism Helps Make Sense of Our Humble Place in the Universe.”
In this thought-provoking talk, Dr. Thomas will explore the vastness of the cosmos and our fleeting moment within it. Drawing from both science and humanist philosophy, he will help us reflect on how understanding our small role in the universe can inspire meaning, purpose, and compassion.
Whether you’re a lifelong humanist, curious about humanism, or simply interested in science and big questions about existence, you’ll find this presentation both accessible and enriching.
Discussion and Q&A to follow.
