Freethought Day Gathering
Details
Did you know that October 12 is Freethought Day?
Freethought Day is observed annually on October 12 to celebrate reason, critical thinking, and the end of the Salem Witch Trials.
Humanists of Topeka are hosting a gathering in observance of Freethought Day on October 12, 2026 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Westlake Shelter House, Gage Park, in Topeka.
We will have a special guest who will present information on the Salem Witch Trials and discuss discrimination that Wiccans and Pagans still face today. We will also be discussing modern witch hunts that still take place around the world today.
This is a pot luck style event - please bring a dish to share if you can! RSVPs are appreciated.
