About us
This meetup group was once formed as Random Hacks of Kindness - Sydney.
This was part of the NFP group. See the details below.
Then the NFP went away, and the meetup was about to close.
The impact space needs the best of design & tech to address root causes.
So I kept this group alive until it could be handed over.
My name is Bob Sudharshan, and I'm the CEO of Purpose With Profit Advisory and the chair of the new initiative called Humans For Better.
Technology is not my strength. But building tribes is!
Democracy is in decline; we have planetary and humanitarian challenges as well.
So we now need the best and brightest in tech working for the BETTER side to navigate through the current state. The good news, for every problem, no matter how difficult, there is a solution.
As long as we have the majority on our side.
There are several organisations that will be open to funding the revival of an effective group of technologists.
We are looking for active co-organisers to bring this to life. If this is you, do reach out to Bob through the email bob (at) Purposewithprofit.co
Remember, anything is possible.
Let's make a better world more probable.

Ps - History of RHOK
Random Hacks of Kindness (RHoK) is a made up of a community of technologists who volunteer their time to solve problems for purpose driven organisations.
We hold hackathons twice a year for social challenges, which bring together changemakers (charities, non-profits, social enterprises and proactive individuals) who need technological solutions together with hackers who have the skills to create them.
Over a weekend we form teams around each problem, produce an open-source MVP or prototype and continue to refine it after the weekend until it's done.
If you want to be a RHoK hacker and have any of the following skills, come along and make the world a better place!
• Frontend developers
• Backend developers
• Mobile developers
• Human Centered Designers
• User Interface designers
• Graphic designers
• Marketing professionals
• Content writers
• Project managers / Scrum masters
If you have a social problem that needs solving join us as a Changemaker and we will help you brainstorm solutions and put together a team that will help you build a solution. Sign up as a Changemaker here- http://www.rhokaustralia.org/changemakers
