Humans of Fort Greene

Fort Greene is the best neighborhood: At the center of the greatest of what Brooklyn has to offer, yet small and cozy enough to give us a real village and community vibe.

But at a time where relationships are increasingly global and virtual, we've lost what it means to belong to a local community and build relationships with our neighbors.

We want to get to know people who live around us, exchange smiles in the street, and decide to hang out at the last minute just because we feel like it. We want to help each other out, discover our hood together, and simply have fun.

This group aspires to meet up once a month to make the most of whatever Fort Greene has to offer - go see a performance at BAM, grab a beer after work, have a picnic in the park in summer, meet for brunch, volunteer to help the community, or go on adventures together.
