PCT to the West Side of Three Fingered Jack
Details
UPDATE Oct 20th, 2pm: There will be a little consolidated snow on the trail. I recommend waterproof footwear and wool socks. Weather looks good: Mostly sunny, high of 50* at our turnaround point.
The Hike: Out and back, 10.5 miles, 1600 vertical ft on a section of the PCT starting at Santiam Pass and topping out at 6300 ft. A few switchbacks, but nothing too steep. This hike will give us a great view of the west side of Three Fingered Jack. Several nice viewpoints to the west along the way. No water is available.
