Larry Chitwood Trail, Badlands

8 mile loop, 400 vertical feet, moderate pace. Sandy soil.
A fun hike for this time of year in the "quiet corner" of the Badlands. If it's clear, we'll have good views in all directions. There are a few little ridges and outcroppings to explore off trail along the way. And we'll do some basic map and compass practice for those who want to lead or follow.
