Almost all the investors say, they invest into the founder and the team. But if we look at the due diligence process, they rather assess the legal, financial and business aspects.
On the other side, most of the startups fail due to leadership/team issues. The least money is spent on developing the leader, team/organization during the portfolio management (after the investment was made).
Why do we have those anomalies? What could be the solution? Can be the leader/team assessed in a professional way? Can the potential of the leader predicted? What are the first worrying signs of poor leadership?
