The Anniversary Trail is an excellent sealed pathway that follows the old Outer Circle Railway and Alamein train line to Ashburton.

We'll walk for around an hour and a half or so (about 8 kms) before turning and walking back to the Harp of Erin Hotel for lunch - A total of about 16 km.

There is a car park on Harp Rd opposite the pub. We'll meet on the footpath outside the Harp Hotel, on the corner of Harp Rd & High St.

This event is a brisk walk, not a stroll. Participants will need to be able to walk at about 5 to 6 km per hour, for 3.25 hours.....so a reasonable degree of 'walk fitness' is required.
As a courtesy to the hosts, the walkers, and the spirit of the group, please ensure that you can walk at the required pace, without falling behind and holding the group back.

9.30 meeting time, for a 9.35 sharp departure. :-)

The event is capped at 30 attendees for the benefit of the walkers - but don't despair if you're on the wait list, as we typically have many people withdraw from the event prior to game day. :-)
