What we’re about
Who: All skill levels are welcome, but this meetup is designed to be more beginner friendly and non-competitive. We're willing to teach rules and practice strokes with new players.
What: We will play any variation of tennis based on attendees (singles, doubles, and American doubles (1 versus 2)).
When: Thursdays and Sundays, the time varies based on the seasons, but typically we play in the evenings just before sundown for up to 2 hours. This is flexible based on popular opinion / organizer availability.
Where: Monrovia Middle School's Public Tennis Courts in the summer/spring and Discovery Middle School in the fall/winter (Monrovia has more courts, but Discovery has lights for playing after dark).
Note that both of these are available to the public and not affiliated with this group.
Alternatives include Huntsville Tennis Center, but they do charge $9 per person and generally hold tournaments on weekends which limits number of courts available.
