Join us for overnight backpacking to Walls Of Jericho. This is a beginners backpacking trip but all levels are welcome. I have access to plenty of extra gear for those who don’t have any.

We’ll hike 2.5 miles downhill to the campground and will spend about an hour setting up before proceeding the last mile to the falls. Once we get back to camp we’ll all join around the campfire for some good times. The following morning we’ll have breakfast and pack mid-morning. We should expect to back at the parking lot around noon. The trek out is about 2.5 miles over 1000ft of elevation gain with packs making this a moderate to hard hike depending on your hiking level. Your backpack should be limited to about 25-30 lbs. We’ll practice a slow but continuous pace out.

I don’t expect much water this time of season but as the brisk cooler air starts moving in and foliage about to hit its peak I expect this to be an incredible experience. Colors, campfire, dinner under the stars, s’mores, and great conversations with wonderful friends will make this a memorable trip. I’ll send out a backpacking gear list prior to the trip and can help anyone prepare who hasn’t done this before. Kids are welcome as mine will be joining us.

This is a dog-friendly trail but must be kept on a leash. We’ll meet at 11:00AM and will do a gear check before hitting the trail at 11:30. Those who wish not to stay overnight are welcome also but must plan your own exit. If you’d like to join us but feel like you’re lacking the endurance, skills, or gear, please reach out to me privately.
