This event will be taking place on a nice piece of private land with 30 acres to explore including a beautiful creek, forested land, and beautiful night sky viewing. The property is about 30 minutes from Huntsville.

This is a two night (Friday-Sunday) event but if you’re only able to make one night, you can still come. Please let me know if that’s the case. Same price regardless of how many nights you stay.

We will be going over camping skills to include setting up a tent, building a fire, water filtration, various backpacking demonstrations, and how to use the bathroom in the woods. Yes, we are only going to the bathroom in the woods because it’s camping! We will have two sectioned off private screened areas for the bathroom (one for #1 and one for #2). #2 area will be a “pit toilet” aka hole in the ground with compost material to cover your waste.

There will be a couple kayaks and a paddleboard for people to use on the creek and get familiar with kayaking or just explore the creek.

Refunds will only be given in the event of weather cancellation.
