Everest Base Camp Informational Meeting
Details
BUCKET LIST TREK! Come join us as we discuss a group trek to Everest Base Camp in the Fall 2026. This gathering is informational and to gauge interest. There will be more planning meetings and training events in time. All are welcome even if not a Meetup member. So invite your friends or anyone who you know may be interested. This the 1st of 2 informational meetings.
This will be my third trip to the Himalayas and I will discuss what it takes to make a successful and incredible trek to Everest Base Camp happen. To all our hikers out there, all of you are capable of completing this trek, with the proper training, and enjoy 2 weeks among the tallest and most majestic mountains in the world! The trip will start in Kathmandu, Nepal before we fly to the mountain village, Lukla. From there the trek begins as we'll soon enter Sagarmatha National Park while we stay in Sherpa tea houses indulging with the Himalayan culture in alpine villages.
We'll cross several long suspension bridges, experience prayer services at the famous alpine monasteries, trek along the Khumbu glacier, gather at the alpine bakeries, immerse ourselves within the Sherpa culture, meet some of the most hardcore Himalayan climbing teams, and much more! We'll reach a max elevation of 18,519 ft at Kala Patthar for the most grand views of Mt. Everest! This trip will change your view of the world!
I'm looking for a group of at least 10 people. This is a very doable hike for most of you as we have one of the best trekking guides in the world to provide all the information and resources, and safely guide us on this once in a lifetime journey. So if you're interested, or not sure, or interested but don't think it's possible for you, come join us. You may be surprised how realistic this epic journey can be.
