AWS Serverless - Implementing the MS RulesEngine in Lambda

Details
BHM AWS welcomes Richard Carruthers of DevPossible LLC for a talk and demonstration on his experience implementing the MS open source RulesEngine in an AWS Serverless architecture.
With over 30 years of professional software development experience, Richard is a veteran developer, systems architect, and solution designer. He started his tech journey in the mid-eighties with Basic, Assembler and Pascal, but has been 100% .Net focused since the beta released around the turn of the century. He has led teams, and teams of teams, in many successful projects from e-commerce websites to full line of business ERP applications. His most recent role was Sr. Director of Technology at ADTRAV, a local business that provides world-wide corporate travel solutions, but he has since transitioned to full time consulting and now lives the good life traveling the US while working remotely. While he has limited AWS experience, he will be sharing the design, inner workings, and development experiences of a project that implemented a dynamic rules engine based on AWS Lambda functions.
The Meetup Zoom conference will open at 11:45am CST and will start promptly at 12pm. The session will be recorded and made available online for repeat viewing at the BHM AWS YouTube Channel. Thanks to Trend Micro for their continued support of the Alabama tech community and our virtual sessions.
