Text & Titles in DaVinci Resolve: Drop-In Editing Workshop at RARA ($15-$18)

Learn how to add clean, simple text and motion that makes your edits feel intentional and cohesive. In this hands-on session, you’ll explore how to create titles, lower thirds, and basic motion in DaVinci Resolve—so your visuals communicate clearly without distracting from the story.

We’ll begin with a short, guided walkthrough, then you’ll work through a structured activity sheet at your own pace—whether you prefer experimenting independently or learning with real-time support. The space is relaxed, welcoming, and designed for beginners, hobbyists, and creative learners of all levels, as well as experienced editors who want to learn DaVinci Resolve.

You’ll leave with practical tools, clearer workflow confidence, and a better understanding of how text and motion can enhance storytelling and visual clarity.

No experience required. Bring your curiosity — and you're welcome to bring your own footage to work on.
(Workstations are provided — no laptops needed.)

💾 Bring a flash drive or be ready to email your files if you want to take your work home.
📝 Participants will use a guided step-by-step practice worksheet provided in class, after a demo.

New to editing? This relaxed, hands-on session introduces the basics of DaVinci Resolve—from importing clips and using the timeline to building your first simple sequence.

You’ll get a short, guided walkthrough, then work at your own pace with a structured activity sheet and live support throughout. Perfect for beginners, hobbyists, and creative learners who want a low-pressure way to start editing - as well as experienced editors who want to familiarize themselves with the powerful (and free!) DaVinci Resolve editing platform.
