Kaaterskill Falls & The Secret Trail - Memorial Day Catskills

Details
Note :Even though this hike is currently 'full' I am trying to open up more capacity and may have a 2nd group or even a 3rd so don't let the waitlist deter you from enjoying this great hike, we may just need to do this as smaller groups and different routes.
What a great way to spend Memorial Day then to play in and around the waters of Kaaterskill Falls. We will visit the lower, middle and upper sections of this fantastic place that is a place of legend and a location of mystery. Long known, the falls were honored by Native Americans for their spiritual energy and as a place of the ethereal and mystical world. (http://www.hvnet.com/alist/alist_greene_kaaterskillfalls.htm)
And what better way to enter that mystical world then to travel the secret trail. A real trail that exists but doesn't. I'm not giving any more out on this one, as it is a secret, you will need to find out on the day.
We will be looping to the Falls via the LP/Escarpment trail To round out the day we will be also traveling some highly scenic parts of the Escarpment trail and visiting the Palenville Overlook, Indian Head Overlook and perhaps N/S lake. Expected 1500 vertical with some scrambling and 8 miles estimated so be prepared. We will be stopping at the falls and spending some time by them to better take in all that it has to offer.
This hike can be considered one of the more difficult hikes I have posted, a bump up from the AT series that I have run as typical of Catskill trails.
Use the following link for directions to the meetup location, the meetup map is not correct. Additionally because this is sure to be a crowded weekend we will be meeting at the lower parking lot as the upper lot fills up fast.
Need a ride, post needs below.
After we will find a spot to get food and drink in nearby Saugerties.
Due to steep scrambles and narrow cliff sections dogs are not permitted
Due to regulations Catskill hikes are limited to 20 people.
Suggested NY/NJ trail map 141.
