NOTE***Huckleberry Point Trailhead is accessed from Platte Clove Road. You need to access from the Northwest. THE LOWER SECTION OF THE ROAD IS CLOSED IN WINTER

Meet at Huckleberry Point (42.13386, -74.08207) 9:30am

We will take Steenburg Road (snowmobile path) to the Long Path, then we will cut over to the Kaaterskill High Peak Trail and climb Hurricane Ledge up to the summit.

After leaving the summit we will take the long path back to Steenburg Road (snowmobile path).

Hike length= Approximately 8 miles
Elevation Gain=Approximately 2K
Route Type=out & back

WINTER WEATHER THIS WEEKEND WILL BE EXTREMELY COLD; NEGATIVE TEMPERATURES.

Must be an experienced winter hiker, must have snowshoes and foot traction. and know how to use them. Must have winter gear for extreme temperatures. Must know how to layer for winter hiking.
