Snowshoes are a MUST! Please - No bareboot postholing!

**Route will depend on snow depth that we find upon arrival. (I will get an update on snow depth on Tuesday afternoon). I plan one of the following routes:

1 - 5.5 mile route of High Peter's Kill - Compass Rock - Peter;s Kill - Awosting Falls
OR

2 - 7.5-mile route of Mossy Glen - Rainbow Falls - Battlement -Castle Point - Blueberry Run = Lower Awosting Carriage Road.

Distance: approx. 5.5 miles or 8 miles
Elevation gain: Approx. 900 feet or 1,200'
Difficulty: 12-18" new snow on trails; moderate pace; short uphills.
Gear: Appropriate footwear; snowshoes; clothing layers for winter temperatures; poles may be helpful for some people; water; snacks
