The hike:
We will start hiking at 8:45. Be early and ready to go. Snowshoes will most likely be the best, most efficient way to go. **Traction with sharp teeth will be needed if going to check out the falls from mid-level or the bottom. The hiking pace will be brisk - about 2.3 - 2,4 mph with stops at several great viewpoints. Have a map to navigate should you choose to hike at a more relaxed pace.

The route:
- From the Scutt Rd. lot, cross the road and enter blue trail.
- Turn left onto yellow and follow it about 2 miles to the blue Escarpment Trail.
- Turn right onto blue and go several miles - passing Boulder Rock, Inspiration Point, Sunset Rock, etc., along the way.
- Turn left onto yellow to go down to the falls. Conditions will determine how far to go down.
- Return to blue and turn left.
- Continue on blue to the parking lot.

Distance: Approximately 7.5 miles
Elevation Gain: Approx. 1,200 feet
Pace: Brisk pace (not slow) with several breaks at viewpoints
Estimated Hike Time: About 4.5 - 5 hours including several breaks
Difficulty: Snow and ice; very icy conditions near falls; rocky terrain;
Gear: Snowshoes; sharp foot traction; water, snacks, appropriate footwear; headlamp
Map: NY-NJ Trail Conference Map #141; Avenza or similar app.
